Rave act, Olamide Adedeji, commonly called Olamide, producer and singer of hit song, ‘Angel of my life’, Paul Play Dairo and highly rated International female talking drummer and singer, Aralola have been lined up to perform at the 2015 edition of the annual cultural cum tourism oriented Mare Festival concert holding in Idanre, Ondo State on the 19th of this month.
Updating newsmen on Friday with developments regarding the popular event at the Idanre Hill resort, venue of the opening event, the state’s Commissioner for Information, in company with his Education, Transport, Environment, and Community Development counterparts, Architect Jide Adejuyigbe, Nicholas Tofowomo, Chief Sola Ebiseni and Mrs Simi Akindele Odumbaku respectively, said the acts have been confirmed for the events with other popular local artistes and dance troupes.
He said the state’s governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko is particularly interested in the star acts featuring at the event because of their indigenous content and cultural value, adding that other acts with cultural value like the popular hip-hop act and gongo aso crooner, Adigun Abolore popularly known as 9ice, indigenous Rap act, Lord of Ajasa, Danny Young and Fuji player, Akande Obesere among other crowd pulling entertainers had performed at the previous editions of the international event.
Akinmade said the acts will join the state’s cultural ambassadors and some local acts to pep up the festival with the theme: “Inspiring Mare for Greater Opportunities.”
