Mimiko drags Olamide, Paul Play, Ara to Idanre for Mare Festival



Rave act, Olamide Adedeji, com­monly called Ol­amide, producer and singer of hit song, ‘Angel of my life’, Paul Play Dairo and highly rated International fe­male talking drummer and singer, Aralola have been lined up to perform at the 2015 edition of the annual cultural cum tourism oriented Mare Festival concert holding in Idanre, Ondo State on the 19th of this month.
Updating newsmen on Friday with develop­ments regarding the pop­ular event at the Idanre Hill resort, venue of the opening event, the state’s Commissioner for Infor­mation, in company with his Education, Transport, Environment, and Com­munity Development counterparts, Architect Jide Adejuyigbe, Nicho­las Tofowomo, Chief Sola Ebiseni and Mrs Simi Akindele Odumbaku re­spectively, said the acts have been confirmed for the events with other popular local artistes and dance troupes.
He said the state’s governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko is particularly interested in the star acts featuring at the event be­cause of their indigenous content and cultural val­ue, adding that other acts with cultural value like the popular hip-hop act and gongo aso crooner, Adigun Abolore popu­larly known as 9ice, in­digenous Rap act, Lord of Ajasa, Danny Young and Fuji player, Akande Obe­sere among other crowd pulling entertainers had performed at the previous editions of the internation­al event.
Akinmade said the acts will join the state’s cultur­al ambassadors and some local acts to pep up the festival with the theme: “Inspiring Mare for Great­er Opportunities.”
