Three win in the Enterprise Challenge


Earlier in February 2016, the 2nd edition of the Enterprise Challenge, a competition that provides a platform for young, brilliant entrepreneurial minds the opportunity to further develop their skills in this area and bring their innovative ideas to the fore for possible future development, was introduced. The 2016 Enterprise Challenge competition has now come to an end and the top three winners have emerged.

After the 3-daybootcampdelivered by The Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship in March 2016, 20 finalists battled for the top three spots as they made their final pitches to the panel of judges.

The British Council, in partnership with Virgin Atlantic Airways, Zenith Bank and Samsung West Africa is proud to announce KeturahOvio-Onoweya and Sophia Ike-Onuas first place winners and Obi Adiuku-Brown as the second place winner of the 2016 edition of its ‘Enterprise Challenge’ competition.

The competition which was launched on February 3rd, 2016 received over 10,000 submissions. 88 young entrepreneurs made it through to the second stage of the competition submitting video pitches for their ideas/solutions and those with the selected top 50 video pitches were given Samsung Galaxy Tab (3 Lite) devices, courtesy of Samsung Electronics West Africa.

Following this, the top 10 entrepreneurs in the competition were presented with individual grants summing up to a total of N8.5million by the British Council and its partners, to support the development of their business ideas and solutions.
