The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), have revealed that officials and a player have been denied visas by the French Embassy, ahead of the two Super Eagles friendly matches this month.
According to the football house, only home–based player, two coaches and administrative officials of the team, have been denied entry visas.
“We are appealing to the Embassy of France in Nigeria to reconsider its stance and issue visas to these officials,” NFF general secretary Mohammed Sanusi said.
“They are going to Europe for very important assignments as the two matches are key to the preparation of the Super Eagles for future engagements.”
NFF protocol officials, also disclosed that as at Wednesday, 60% of the passports taken to the embassy were returned without visas.
Nigeria are scheduled to play Mali in Rouen, France on May 27, before taking on Luxembourg on June 1.
