EPL: Leicester, King of England wins again

THE King Power Stadium came alive yesterday as EPL champion, Leicester City strolled to a comfortable 3-1 victory over Everton.
Leicester before yesterday’s game had already been crowned King of England a situation that saw fans and players of the club just enjoying themselves at home.
A double from Jamie Vardy and one goal from Andy King saw the Foxes claim maximum points.
Leicester could have had a fourth as Vardy was given a free shot at goal with a second penalty, only to send the ball sailing over the bar.
There were few bright spots for Everton, with the only highlight coming in the 88th minute when Kevin Mirallas scored a consolation goal for the Toffees.
While Leicester enjoyed herself at home, Sunderland put up a five star performance at home beating Chelsea 3-2. The victory was good enough to see The Black Cats climb out of the Premier League relegation zone.
Sunderland was 2-1 down at home to The Blues before two goals in three second-half minutes from Fabio Borini and Jermain Defoe dramatically turned the match her way.
All Sunderland needs now is a home victory over Everton midweek to seal her stay in the top flight.
Norwich moved closer to the drop after a 1-0 loss at home to Manchester United, with Juan Mata’s 72nd-minute goal proving decisive at Carrow Road.
United’s victory saw Louis van Gaal’s fifth-placed side close to within a point of local rivals Manchester City, who currently occupy fourth spot and the last qualifying position on offer to English clubs for next season’s Champions League.
City, looking to bounce back from her Champions League semifinal defeat by Real Madrid in midweek, play third-placed Arsenal at Eastlands today.
Two Nigerian teenageinternationals, Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi would be the cynosure of all eyes in the City, Arsenal clash.
