CBN donates 400 bags of rice to Borno IDPs


The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Thursday donated 400 bags of rice to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Borno.
The CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, who was represented by the Borno CBN branch Comptroller, Alhaji Isyaku Ibrahim, presented the materials
after a courtesy visit to Gov. Kashim Shettima at the Government House, Maiduguri.

He said that the donation was part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the society.

He commended the military for the current efforts in ending the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East, noting that the efforts would now provide conducive environment for the implementation of policies and programmes of the federal and state governments toward developing the state.

Responding, Gov. Shettima thanked the CBN for the donation and promised judicious utilization of the food item. (NAN)
