Contrary to what the world was made to believe, the “raging feud” between the duo is far from over. Following a highly publicised reconciliation between the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains and former political associates, at the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Aluko has described the touted reconciliation as the “joke of the Century,” insisting that he never begged for forgiveness from Governor Fayose as being peddled in certain quarters. Aluko accused Fayose’s Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka of “hypocrisy, distortion of facts and spreading lies” on the “reconciliation process.”At a recent press briefing in Lagos, Aluko said he admitted to a reconciliation under duress. It was a plot geared to impeach his character and tarnish his image, according to him.
