THE technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF headed by Chris Green rose from her meeting in Abuja Wednesday recalling former national team coach Shuaib Amodu to lead the Super Eagles.
The National Technical Director of the NFF will lead the quartet of Salisu Ibrahim, Alloy Agu, Rangers and Abia Warriors chief coaches, Imama Amakapabo and Kennedy Boboye respectively to serve as the Super Eagles temporary consortium of coaches to handle the team for the two international friendly encounters against Mali and Luxembourg in Europe.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical committee which made the recommendation to the Executive Committee of the federation after several hours of deliberation argued that she went for the two league coaches, Boboye and Amakapabo on merit. The committee noted that the two games will expose the two tacticians to the rudiments of the game.
Meanwhile, Dream Team handler, Samson Siasia, has shortlisted no fewer than 10 overage players for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Siasia, who made the disclosure in a chat with Daily Sunsports in Abuja, said that the 10 players are among the 60 players he penciled down and sent to the technical Sub- Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for final pruning to the required 18-man squad.
Asked the level of preparedness of his team, ‘World Cup’ Coach as friends and admirers fondly call him, said: “It is out of place to ask whether we are ready because we are certainly not ready. We just started training and it will take some while for us to be ready.
