Ex-Lawmaker Slammed Over Questions On Al-Makura’s Policy Thrust

BY DONATUS NADI,
x-lawmaker, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, who represented Kokona/Keffi/Karu federal constituency has come under heavy criticism for questioning Governor Umaru Tanko Almakura’s policy direction.

Last week Hon. Wadada in a press conference in Keffi, accused Almakura of not doing enough to define the policy centerpiece of his administration even in the face of his accomplishment in the pastvfive years.

Reacting to the accusation,  Governor Almakura’s media aide, Ahmed Tukur, criticised the former lawmaker over what he termed falls rhetoric aimed at resuscitating his ailing political appeal.

He wondered why Wadada who who spoke glowingly of the governor’s fiscal policy by introducing the Treasury Single Account (TSA) would accuse the same government of lacking policy direction.

He said: “We found it very confusing because his criticism has no clear direction of what he really wants to say which is unhealthy for the person of a former lawmaker to loss track in even articulating himself just in a hurry to smear the image of another”.

“The summersault in his interview where at first he claimed of lack of policy direction but went ahead to commend  Gov Al – Makura  for keying into single treasury account, clearly  shows that he needs to pay more attention to what government is doing to transform the state”

The media aide added that the statement has not only ridiculed the ex-lawmaker but equally exposed his lack of touch with happenings in the state.

“Wadada should know that elections are not won by suffocating the public with polluted statements, and civilized politicians and democrats seek popular support with courtesy and win with the Peoples mandate not with illusion but better education and sincerity of purpose”.
