EFCC To Support Kano State Anti-Corruption Commission, According To Magu
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will support the Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission in the fight against corruption, according to statements made by the EFCC Chairman Ibrahim Magu.
Mr. Magu made these remarks during a familiarization tour to the Kano-based commission this weekend.
Mr. Magu noted the efforts by the Kano State government in establishing the commission and said that he would identify areas where the EFCC and the Kano State commission can collaborate.
In particular, Mr. Magu identified training of personnel and the use of the EFCC forensic laboratory by the Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission as opportunities between the two anti-graft agencies.
“Mr. President said we must kill corruption before it kills Nigeria therefore we are here to support those who help us in killing corruption,” he stated during the visit.
The Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission, Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, thanked the EFCC Chairman for the visit which he described as “a morale booster which will go along way in enhancing the Commission’s performance.”
