Lagos State Football Association, LSFA has concluded plan for this year’s Lagos FA Cup with over 50 registered clubs.
According to the timeline release by the office of the Technical Committee of the Lagos State FA, the seminar for this year’s WGB powered Lagos FA Cup will hold on February 20 at the Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos Indoor Hall starting from 9:00am.
Dotun Coker, Chairman, Technical Committee of the FA disclosed that the championship would kick-off on March 5, 2016 with the rookie matches, while the draws will hold on March 1, at the Lagos SWAN Secretariat, National Stadium Complex, Surulere, Lagos.
He stated that the Winners Golden Bet sponsored tournament had 54 clubs registered for the men event, while five clubs registered for the women competition.
He also said all the registered club was expected to send two of their representative to the seminar organised by the FA, today, at Campos Mini Stadium, Lagos.
“All is set for this year’s event, as you can see from timeline released earlier and from what is on ground it’s going to be bigger and better than previous editions,” he said.
In related development, players licenses and team sheet was ready for collection at the Lagos State FA Secretariat.
Under Secretary of the FA, Mr. Balogun informed that the license was ready and that all registered clubs should come to the FA Secretariat, at Onikan Stadium, Lagos during working hours for collection.
You will recall that the Christ Ambassador Football Club are the defending Champion in the male category, while Christ of David Ladies (COD) are the champion in the ladies category.
