This is definitely not the happiest of times for Otunba Timehin Adelegbe. Amiable Adelegbe, who is the Asiwaju of Okeluse in Ondo State, recently lost his dad to the cold and wicked hands of death.
However, he is taking solace in the fact that his father did not allow the reality of death to rule his life. Before bidding his final farewell to life at the ripe age of 98, Pa Samuel Adelegbe lived a good and fulfilled life. Pa Samuel Adelegbe did not go down without a fight; he put up a spirited fight before his last breath.
The late community leader, who was said to have shared an exceptional closeness with his son, had deteriorated in health in recent times. And despite the effort of his personal physician, said to be one of the best in the country, to nurse him back to good health, Papa finally succumbed to death.
After the initial shock of the death of his father, Otunba Timehin has started preparations for the burial ceremony. Trust this jolly good man; he is pulling all the stops to give papa a befitting burial in his hometown of Okeluse, Ondo State.
Details of the burial are still under wraps, but the connected banker and chairman of Royal Parklane Hotels will give his father a high-octane burial ceremony.
