The ousted Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, Mr. Ken Emeakayi, Senator Andy Uba, Senator Stella Oduah have been advised to obey Supreme Court order which allegedly sacked them from office.
According to a statement signed and made available by a chieftain of party, Alhaji Haliru Ibrahim, wondered why Uba, Oduah and some members of the House of Representatives affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment are still parading themselves as sitting lawmakers.
“By law, all the lawmakers in the Emekayi’s list are supposed to have vacated but unfortunately, Emekayi turned around to encourage his paymasters to retain their seats in the National Assembly”, he said.
This, Ibrahim said can only be experienced in Nigeria where the body organising election is not serious and trust worthy. “The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is killing democracy in Nigeria. President Muhammadu Buhari should also focus on protecting our unripe democracy.
“It is worrisome that people like Emeakayi who know the true position of the judgment should continue to engage in public deception by throwing up needless confusion into the very simple and concise judgment by the wise Justices of the Supreme Court.
