NAFDAC endorses Kasapreko’s $70m factory


The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has endorsed Kasapreko’s $70m factory in Ghana.
In a statement from the firm, the newly equipped factory will enable the company to become a total beverage company.
The statement quoted the Director-General, NAFDAC, Dr. Paul Orhii as saying that Kasapreko is now a pan-African brand, known for its corporate social responsibility activities.
The Group Chairman and Founder of Kasapreko, Dr. Kwabena Adjei, was quoted as saying, “Kasapreko started with five members of staff and now the company has over 600 employees. The company has transformed from an alcoholics company to a total beverage company with innovation leading its growth, backed by research to satisfy changing consumer needs.”
Adjei noted that Kasapreko had always been guided by strong values and the 3 Ms – Quality Material, Manpower and Machinery.
The Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer, Richard Adjei, said that the new factory cost about 70 million dollars and would now be producing the new water brand, Awake Mineral Drinking Water, carbonated soft drinks and juices. He also added that the packaging of the flagship brand, Alomo Bitters, was changed in line with growing trends.nafdac,
