Former Chief of General Staff, General Oladipo Diya (rtd), former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Kofoworola Akerele and Anthony Adefuye have called on Nigerians to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buahri in its fight against corruption.
They made the call at this New Year’s thanksgiving service which also featured the reading nine lessons hosted by Adefuye in Lagos.
They noted that: “We applaud the current efforts of the present administration to stamp out corruption from the society and the country at large. We advise the present the administration against witch haunting or selective prosecution but rather plead with the Economic and Financial Crimes and Commission (EFCC) Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and other anti-graft agencies not to compromise their investigation and prosecution of the suspects to serve as deterrents to others who had or might want to indulge in such unfortunate acts.”
