THE Lagos State governor Akinwunmi Ambode has called on Nigerians to be united, saying that Nigeria could only make progress if the country is united.
The governor made the call while speaking with journalists during the celebration of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day at the Remembrance Arcade in Lagos.
He said: ‘’I advise Nigerians to be united, we can only make progress if we are united.
“We are so particular about the development of this country.
“The country is bigger than any individual so we advise Nigerians that the unity of the country is what is paramount by this government and that is what we are doing”.
Ambode also praised soldiers who fought for the unity of the country, explaining that, “there won’t be any country called Nigeria without the fallen heroes.
