U-23 AFCON: South Africa Join Senegal In Semis, Tunisia Out




South Africa joined hosts Senegal in the semi-finals of the CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations with a 1-0 win Tunisia on Friday.
The win gave South Africa Grpup B’s second ticket after Senegal, who qualified after winning their first two games.
South Africa finished with six points with Menzi Mazuku scoring the only goal in the 85th minute in Mbour to send Tunisia packing.
Senegal sealed their 100 per cent record with a 1-0 win over Zambia in Dakar also on Friday.
Mouhahamadou Diallo headed home the only goal of the match in the fourth minute to send Zambia home without any points.
