Olu of Warri urges Nigerians to return to God

THE Olu of Warri, Ogaime Ikenwoli, has urged Nigerians to rededicate their lives to the service of God and mankind.
Ogiame Ikenwoli, who was crowned Olu of Warri at Ode-Itsekiri barely two weeks ago, made the call in his new year message to the Itsekiri nation.
He stated that the people must see service to God and humanity as a duty and take pride in the destiny of their people, in the dignity that any short cut to success could only be temporary.
The monarch advised the people to go back to their roots in terms of promoting agriculture, fishing and fish processing, mat weaving and other arts and crafts for which the riverine people are renowned and, as a panacea to tackling unemployment and earning reasonable income.
Ikenwoli sued for continued peace and development in the Warri local government areas and admonished the people to focus on the things that unite them and not divisive tendencies.
He prayed that the incoming year would bring peace, abundant progress in the land, which should engender an enabling environment for government at various levels to bring much desired development to the people and other various communities.
