Loscuito tips Super Eagles for CHAN trophy

SUPER Eagles assistant coach, Jean François Loscuito, has expressed confidence that the crop of players currently camping ahead of the African Nations championship, (CHAN) in Rwanda have all it takes to lift the tournament trophy.
The Belgian tactician, who had coached Togo, Burkina Faso and Rwanda before teaming up with Eagles gaffer, Sunday Oliseh, has been in charge of the CHAN Eagles pretournament preparations in Oliseh’s absence likely to join the team in South Africa for the final stage of the camping.

His words: “Before Nigeria, I have worked in Togo, Burkina Faso and Rwanda. I see the best crop of African players in Nigeria. The Nigerian players are very nice and quick to learn.
“When you speak with them or ask them to do something, they understand very quickly and that is the most important thing for a coach. For that I am very happy working in Nigeria and I can tell you that this team is a championship material,” the Belgian coach assured.
Meanwhile, Eagles assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf, had dismissed the reports of cold war between him and Loscuito over who takes charge of the team’s coaching programmes in the absence of Oliseh currently recuperating in Belgium.
Yusuf, who spoke at the team’s training session in Abuja described the report as the joke of the year, insisting that he has enjoyed a good working relationship with the Belgian
