KSB, Essence for Revival Assembly anniversary

The headquarters of the Revival Assembly Church in the Ogba area of Lagos will bubble today (Friday) as it celebrates its 25th anniversary.
As a result, several gospel acts are billed to perform, with the church’s founder and General Overseer, Pastor Anselem Madubuko, saying he and members have a lot to celebrate.
Expected to minister with music are Samsung, Efe Nathan, Kenny St Brown, Essence, Freke, Eben, Jasparzi, One House and Iroko.
Also billed to perform at the three-day event are Anniet from South Africa, Vicky Kitunga and Eunice Njeri fom Kenya while Dr. Ampiah Kwofie, from Ghana, is among the ministers.
Speaking on the journey so far, Madubuko said it was God that instructed him to build a church as he initially wanted be an evangelist.
He said, “I wanted to do the work of an evangelist and keep my profession as an architect, which I was already succeeding in practice. I love the Lord. I wanted to keep my business and do crusade and stuff, but apparently, God had other things in mind. I remember at that time my wife was not a typical pastor’s wife and so, for me, it was an impossible scenario.
I asked the Lord to tell my wife about it, so I forget about it. It wasn’t until October 1990 that she walked up to me in tears that God had told her that he wanted me to establish a church. In October of the same year, I had no other excuse; I had to look for a venue and Revival Assembly was born, physically.
“It’s been an exciting journey that I could never have predicted. People get born again here. I have seen all kinds of things — very good people, bad people and very lovely people. I have seen everything in this ministry, there are more good than bad.”
