Wife of Ekiti State Governor,Mrs Feyisetan Fayose has warned against streets hawking by girl- child in Ekiti .
She made the disclosure yesterday in Ado Ekiti during a programme marking the international Day of the Girl – Child
Mrs Fayose who along with some women leaders participated in a live programme onn EKT,urged people in the state not to hesitate to arrest any erring parents involved in the offence
Also contrubuting,,the Permanent Secretary,Ministry of Women Affairs,Princess Adekunbi Obaisi said the state government has promulgated a law prohibiting hawking by school age child between the hours of 8 am -2pm
Obaisi said the state government has constituted a committee ,comprising the police,road safety,civil defence and others that are charged with the responsibility of effecting the law

The PS further disclosed that individuals who have yellow cards meant for child abuse could officially report such cases to police or other appropriate authorities
Mrs Fayose however, warned girl child against indulging in any promiscuous relationship with elderly men ,who according to her were out to ruin their career
She frown over the reported cases of raping of girl child which has now gained currency in our society,saying most of the causes of rape are caused by the girls
She noted that most girls wore clothe that are considered offensive
or that would further expose their bodies to their male counterparts
She,however called on the parents to be the chief mentor of their girl-child,noting that the primary responsibility of bringing up their girl child revolves round the parents
