The Secret of Success And Prosperity
Proverbs 8:22-30 (NLT)
The Lord formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else. I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. I was born before the oceans were created,before the springs bubbled forth their waters. Before the mountains were formed, before the hills, I was born— before he had made the earth and fields and the first handfuls of soil. I was there when he established the heavens, when he drew the horizon on the oceans. I was there when he set the clouds above, when he established springs deep in the earth. I was there when he set the limits of the seas,so they would not spread beyond their boundaries. And when he marked off the earth’s foundations, I was the architect at his side.I was his constant delight, rejoicing always in his presence.
Wisdom is critical for success in any venture. If you want to succeed in life, you have to learn to consistently apply wisdom before, during and after every endeavor. Wisdom will make you succeed beyond your wildest dreams. Wisdom will distinguish you. Wisdom will set you apart from your peers. When you learn to operate in wisdom, you will excel to your heart's content. Success is never by accident. Wisdom always precedes success. Behind every successful endeavor is the application of some level of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Even God needed wisdom to create the heavens and the earth. When you look around you and see how beautiful and diverse the world is, that is the wisdom of God on display. This was the same wisdom that God imparted to Adam with which Adam named all the animals. It was sin that corrupted the true wisdom of God in the heart of man and replaced it with the worldly wisdom that is so destructive.
The wisdom of God creates and preserves whereas the wisdom of the world corrupts and destroys. God's wisdom seeks to add value to people, to the environment and to the society whereas worldly wisdom focuses only on self. Worldly wisdom is self seeking, self serving and self pleasing. James 3:13-17 says "If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere." It is the wisdom of God that will ultimately lead you to success and prosperity.
If you really want to succeed in life, you need to humble yourself and learn from the architect of success. You need to learn from the one who has never failed and who will never fail. Human beings think they are wise but the wisdom of man is insignificant compared to the wisdom of God. That is why Romans 16:27 says "All glory to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, forever. Amen." Only God is truly wise. There is no true wisdom outside of God and there can be no real success that violates and contradicts the principles of the word of God. If you look closely at even unbelievers that are succeeding in their endeavors, you will see that they are honoring and applying the principles of the word of God to the extent that they understand it. How much more you, a child of God? If only you can humble yourself to learn and apply the principles of the word of God which the practical expression of God's wisdom, you will begin to excel in every area of your life as you manifest the wisdom of God. Seek for wisdom and success will come to you. Psalm 1:1-3 says "Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do." Do you want to prosper in everything you do? The secret is in the word of God. The wisdom in the word of God will deliver success and prosperity to you.
Prayer:
Father, I thank you for your wisdom that is revealed in your word. I choose to seek after your wisdom and to apply it in every area of my life. I will succeed in all that I do in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
