Kogi: Army has no role in covering election – Police DIG
The Deputy Inspector General of Police deployed to oversee security for Saturday’s governorship election in Kogi state, Leroy Sotonye, has said the Army would not be involved in providing security for the poll.
“They will have no role in the election, unless I invite them when the law enforcement is unable to curtail the challenges, ” Mr. Sotonye told journalists in Lokoja on Friday.
The DIG is leading the security formations for the Kogi governorship election.
More to come…
