REVEALED: Joy Ogwu Responsible For Buhari’s Absence At UN Meeting

Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Mrs. Joy Ogwu, has been blamed for the absence of President Mohammadu Buhari at a crucial meeting held at the United Nations General Assembly, New York, United States of America, reports LagosToday.org

According to sources in diplomatic circles, Joy Ogwu’s loyalty is still to the immediate past Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government and not to the nation. Ogwu, not committed to the goals of the new administration has really done it this time. The PDP appointee who many had alleged to have secretly vowed to frustrate the present administration has finally dug her own coffin, a source who confided in LagosToday.org hinted she has been doing everything to undermine President Buhari’s efforts at redeeming the country’s image at the ongoing United Nations General Assembly.

Joy Ogwu, once described as the most unserious ambassador in the whole of the UN by reporters, only had to inform President Buhari to send representatives to the meetings, which she failed to do causing Nigeria a global embarrasment and odium.

Among her many sins, according to diplomatic sources are:

1. Deliberately giving wrong dates to the President so he could not send a representative to the technical sidelines at the ongoing UNGA

2. Refusing to pay the Nigerian delegations’ membership fee for the Fashion for Development (F4D), an event that follows (OAFLA). The situation was savaged by a representative of the wife of the President who quickly paid, so as to save Nigeria the embarrassment of being put on the debtors list.

3. Refusing to forward official invites to both the Office of the President, and the wife of the President but sending representatives on their behalf without informing them, this was discovered after the people who sent out the invitations sent reminders and thank you notes, directly to Abuja.

An insider gushed that the plan is to make it seem as if President Buhari is too old to remember events, and not capable of being a leader of the most populous nation in Africa, Nigeria.

All efforts to reach Mrs. Joy Ogwu by our correspondents proved abortive.
