The current turn out of things in respect to his severed relationship with Tinubu, who is known to be the strongest man of Lagos, according to informed sources may as well signify the beginning of the end for NURTW (National Union of road Transport Workers) big boy, MC Oluomo.
Notice that lately, MC Oluomo who was always at the center stage of happenings in Lagos even at social functions has suddenly disappeared from the scene.
MC Oluomo
According to sources, Tinubu allegedly fell out with Oluoma over the controversial death of another big name in NURTW, Esi Oluwo. Esi was gruesomely murdered earlier in the year at a time when Tinubu needed him to boost Ambode’s campaign. We gathered that Oluoma was fingered in the murder of Esi whose followership had was higher at the time. After the ugly incident things turned a drastic direction. Recently MC Oluomo who was once dreaded by big wigs in the transport industry for the support and backing he enjoys from Tinubu was bathed in the waters of shame when he in his usual way tried to impose some candidate on the Union during the National election in Abuja recently.
Eye witnesses account indicates that he was heavily opposed, beaten and was heavily disgraced by some warring members who disagreed with his motion. Recalling his modus operandi during Tinubu’s reign as Governor of Lagos State, one would simply conclude that events have taken a drastic turn around. Back then was a mafia whose authority was unchallenged by anyone from state to national level of NURTW. A case of, one death, too many disaster you may say.
Oluomo’s ambition to wrestle power with the present Lagos chair of NURTW, Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede, who is presently enjoying the support of all and sundry has obviously suffered a major set back. It may be safe to say that MC Oluomo’s power in NURTW and his closeness to the authority that shielded him has been defeated by his uncontrolled arrogance and unruliness, said a source. This might have explained by why he had since gone into hiding to save himself from further shame
