Nigerians are demanding an open trial for Senate President, Bulola Saraki who is facing a 13-count criminal charges before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Saraki who September 22, 2015 appeared before the Code of Conduct Tribunal was accompanied by some of his colleagues in the Senate, led by Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu. As at the time filing this report, the CCT is still in session, but bared live coverage of the proceedings. Displeased by the arrangement, Nigerians in several quarters are agitating for an open trial to avoid discrepancies.
Saraki’s trial is coming shortly after his wife, Toyin was drilled by the EFCC on charges of corruption. More details later…
