The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has a new Managing Director.
He is Mobolaji Sanusi, a columnist with The Nation newspaper.
Sanusi, who resumed work on Wednesday, succeeds George Noah.
It was gathered that Sanusi was recommended for the job by Tunji Bello, a former Commissioner for Environment, a former MaNaging Director of LASAA and current Secretary to the Lagos State Government.
Sanusi is a die-hard fan of ex-Lagos Governor, Bola Tinubu.
He is known to have defended the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on several occasions.
On June 5, 2015, Sanusi lambasted immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, in a article he titled ‘Fashola’s Signal of Ingratitude’.
In the piece, he castigated the Senior Advocate of Nigeria for working against Tinubu, who according to him, “kick-started his (Fashola’s) great leap to political prominence”.
LASAA, a brain-child of Tinubu, was established by the Lagos State Structures for Signage and Advertisement Agency Law, 2006.
The agency is responsible for regulating and controlling outdoor advertising and signage displays in Lagos State.
