I will remain blunt for life — Obasanjo
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has declared that he would remain blunt at all times and that he will not shirk from criticising the media when necessary.
Mr. Obasanjo said he had nothing against the media, but that his concerns were about “irresponsible journalism”.

I don’t hate the media, but there are some bad eggs in the profession, and this must not be allowed, the truth must be told,” Mr. Obasanjo said. “However, not all journalists are bad, hence, the need to celebrate the good ones, as we are all witnessing today.”
Mr. Obasanjo said journalists are expected to play meaningful roles in the society, and that he was not against genuine criticisms from the media, but said the practitioners must always be sincere and committed to the ethics of the profession.
