Benue Governor Unveils 5 Point Agenda...appoints commissioners

Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom Friday released the  blueprint of his administration titled,  "Our Collective Vision For A New Benue" with a resolve to ensure the successful implementation of the the blue print which is also the five-point agenda of the administration. 

1. Good governance and revenue security.
2. Agriculture-driven industrialization.
3. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM)- based education and Health services.
4. Investment in critical infrastructure.
5. Gender, Women, Youth, Sports and people with disabilities.

It is worthy to recall that Ortom has been under serious criticism for failing to unveiling a working plan for the state even during the days of campaign as had every other contestant.

Meanwhile, after a three-day retreat organised at the Benue Peoples' House organised for Commissioners and Special Advisers, Ortom assigned portfolios to commissioners and special advisers who were earlier sworn in without portfolios.

He made the announcement at the end of a three-day retreat at the Banquet Hall of the Benue Peoples House.

The portfolios are as follows:
*Michael Gusa – Justice
*David Olofu - Finance
*Odeh Ageh - Information and Orientation
*Emmanuel Manger- Works and Transport
*Nick Wende - Water Resources and Environment
*Mwuese Mnyim – Women Affairs
*Professor Dennis Ityavyar – Education, Science and Technology
*James Anbua – Agriculture
*Sekav Iyortyom- Arts, Culture and Tourism
*Onoja Lawrence- Youths and Sports
*John Otokpa- Housing and Urban Development
*Dr Tersoo Kpelai- Industry, Trade and Investment
*Dr Cecilia Ojabo- Health and Human Services
