But before leaving I hope he will win again the League and all the cups. “It’s not a question of whether Pep likes him or not. It’s life, you know. “Pep can call Yaya and speak to him to let him know ‘I’m with you’ or ‘I am not with you’.” The Ivorian, 32, left Barcelona in 2008 to join City in a £25million switch after Guardiola favoured Sergio Busquets over him and his agent has launched an attack on the Spaniard.
Yaya Toure has 11 months left on his £240,000 per week contract, meaning City will have to pay him up to £12m if they wish to cancel his contract. And now Toure’s agent is speaking openly about a new club for the player: “From this moment we start to discuss with different clubs about Yaya going there in the summer. City don’t do anything concrete. Yaya has given everything for the club and we don’t feel that this situation is the right way to show how much they appreciate him.” According to the former Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce, Arsenal should sign Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure. And Pearce, who managed City for two years, says: “On his day Yaya Toure is outstanding. Arsenal need an old head within the team.Petr Cech has proved a fantastic success this year at Arsenal, and to have a player like Toure at the centre of midfield, as that holding type of player, I think he’d give one or two of the youngsters a bit of a lift.
