Re-run: A/Ibom APC House Of Assembly Candidate Defects

The candidate of All progressive Congress APC in tomorrow’s re-run election in Akwa Ibom Mr. Victor Ini Okon yesterday defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.
Okon who was defeated in the April 11 2015 general election for Oron /Udung Uko state constituency by the PDP Candidate Efffiong Okon Bassey was a former Chairman of Oron local government Council.
He proceeded to the election petition tribunal seeking the nullification of the election of the PDP candidate.
Upon the successful prosecution of his petition, the appeal court set aside the victory of Effiong Okon Bassey and fixed a re-run.
Addressing newsmen in Uyo Victor Ini Okon said he defected having consult with members of his family and thanked the All Progressive Congress for fielding him in the election.
He congratulated Effiong Okon Bassey for a successful outing in the re-run election.
