The President of Tarayya Ekkleiyoyin Kristi a Nigeria (TEKAN) also known as the Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Nigeria has confirmed the abduction of their President, Rev. Emmanuel Ndiggau in Kaduna.
Ndiggau who is also the TEKAN/ECWA block leader in the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) was said to have been abducted in Kaduna on Monday evening alongside Rev. Iliya Anto, and Rev. Yakubu Dzarma (Rtd) but Anto was later released.
TEKAN General Secretary Rev. Moses Ebuga while briefing news men on the development at the TEKAN headquarters in Jos said the kidnappers had contacted the Church and were demanding N100 million.
TEKAN is an umbrella body of 15 denomination churches including the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) and has millions followers.
