Sheikh ‘looks forward’ to support Infantino

Sheikh Salman says Asian soccer “looks forward” to working with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Still, the Asian soccer confederation president challenged Infantino not to favour Europe in his new job.

Sheikh Salman says “the new FIFA needs to become more inclusive and reflect the diversity of world football.”

The Bahraini royal, in an Asian confederation statement lacking personal warmth, adds “I trust Gianni Infantino will provide the leadership to achieve this.”

Salman says that “in these unprecedented times world football needs unity.
