Bayelsa 2015: I'm running for governor- Timi Alaibe
Former Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, managing director, Timi Alaibe announced Saturday that he was running for governor of Bayelsa state, promising to be a champion of poor and oppressed if elected.
No fewer than 15 persons have obtained the expression of interest and nomination forms to vie for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the December 5 Bayelsa State governorship election with the entrance of Alaibe causing stir, especially in the ruling PDP led government in the state.
Per Second News gathered that last monday supporters of Alaibe stormed the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abuja to purchase the expression of interest and nomination forms for the governorship election in the state for him.
Alaibe as head NDDC, initiated articulated programmes and polices that rubbed off positively on the nine states of the Niger Delta.
“We as Bayelsa people are tired of accidental leadership. We are tired of visionlessness and you know that I come with a lot of experience, goodwill, integrity and reputation.
